GENERAL
| Description | The H130 is a lightweight single-engine helicopter tailored for passenger transportation, sightseeing and VIP duties, as well as medical airlift, law enforcement and surveillance missions. As a multi-role rotorcraft, the H130 has a spacious cabin for 1 pilot and up to 7 passengers, depending on the configuration. Airbus has improved the EC130’s capabilities in its H130 version by equipping the rotorcraft with a Safran Arriel 2D engine offering 10 percent more average power and a lower fuel consumption. This provides a higher maximum takeoff weight and greater speed. Other H130 enhancements include a vibration control system; improved air conditioning; a cabin interior structure redesign with a full flat floor; a cockpit update for enhanced man-machine interface; new energy-absorbing seats; integration of a crashworthy fuel tank; and easier maintenance for electrical and air conditioning systems. |
